This course is the first qualification recognised by our association the BHPA and will normally be a four or five day course depending on the student and weather. You will learn to make pre-flight checks, take off and fly down to a controlled and designated landing. You will gain a sound understanding of the principles of paragliding, reinforced with theory.

EPC in the Yorkshire Dales

We operate from our base in the Yorkshire Dales. This allows flexible training to suit you whether at weekends or mid-week. Given the weather we operate all year round.

Elementary Pilot Certificate (EPC) – up to 5 days (any 5 days within a 6 month period to maintain currency). All your equipment will be supplied by the school for your EPC course

This course gets you from EPC to a competent standard in about seven to twelve days of training, which can be spread out to suit your needs. The Club Pilot Certificate is your license to fly allowing you to fly without the guidance of an instructor, it's your first step into the world of soaring and cross-country flight.
